The DJI O4 Ground Station is a universal video transmission base station designed for DJI OcuSync 4 enterprise drone systems. Built to support both Network Base Station and Relay Station modes, it helps extend reliable video transmission access for dock-based drones, manually flown drones, and remote enterprise operations.

Designed for use in urban, mountainous, remote, and signal-challenged environments, the O4 Ground Station provides a powerful communication link between drones, docks, controllers, and DJI FlightHub 2. Built for Extended Enterprise Drone Coverage

The DJI O4 Ground Station supports automatic switching across multiple frequency bands, including sub-2G, 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz. This allows it to maintain strong transmission performance across different environments and operational conditions, with a maximum transmission range of up to 40 km.

When used with DJI Dock 3, the O4 Ground Station can significantly extend the single-station coverage radius, helping enterprise teams expand operational reach for remote inspections, public safety missions, security patrols, site monitoring, and emergency response.

Network Base Station & Relay Station Modes

The DJI O4 Ground Station supports two key operating modes: Network Base Station Mode and Relay Station Mode.

In Network Base Station Mode, the ground station connects to DJI FlightHub 2 through Ethernet or the DJI Enhanced Video Transmission Module. This enables broader coverage and allows pilots to control drones through FlightHub 2’s virtual cockpit feature within the ground station’s coverage area.

In Relay Station Mode, the O4 Ground Station can be deployed at an elevated location to extend video transmission in areas with no network coverage or severe signal blockage. This is ideal for mountainous terrain, obstructed environments, remote worksites, and areas where direct transmission is limited.

Designed for Harsh Environments

Built for long-term outdoor deployment, the DJI O4 Ground Station features an IP67 protection rating and operates in temperatures from -40°C to 55°C. This makes it suitable for year-round enterprise drone operations in challenging field conditions.

The system also includes a smart low-power mode that automatically enters sleep mode when no aircraft is connected, reducing standby power consumption to approximately 7 watts. For off-grid deployments, it can be connected to DJI Power solar supply solutions or other photovoltaic power systems.

Open Integration for Advanced Workflows

The DJI O4 Ground Station is designed to support more than drone video transmission. It can integrate with standard network cameras, support ESDK and Cloud API workflows, and connect to third-party ADS-B or Remote ID receivers through MQTT protocol.
