USBL underwater position system for Chasing M2 Pro Max ROV, it is an acoustic positioning system which includes the Cerulean ROV Locator Mk II and Chasing USBL kit, providing the ROV’s position in realtime. It will require to be used with the adapter box or control console.

CHASING USBL Kit

The CHASING USBL kit is a set of connecting parts designed for mounting the Cerulean ROV Locator Mk II on CHASING ROVs. The USBL underwater locator can accurately get the position, navigation direction and trajectory of the ROV on the map, as well as mark the location of the target and map the inspection route.

Accurately Orient the Underwater Location

The USBL underwater locator uses the transmitter and receiver to calculate the coordinate position of the underwater drone through the locating algorithm with three points, and displays the ROV's loacation on map on the APP in real time. The maximum distance between transmitter and receiver can be up to 300 meters.

ROV Locator Mk II

The ROV Locator Mk II brings the cost-effectiveness of underwater positioning solutions to a new level. With a 300-meter depth rating and no need to calibrate crystal oscillators or manually sync the distance between units (select auto sync) at mission start-up, you can get up and running in no time.

The ROV Locator Mark II includes a transmitter mounted on the ROV and a receiver module located on the surface. The bundle also comes with a mounting ring and adapter. Simply power up, start the dive and track the ROV location in real-time on the control console.

Autosync works by exposing the Receiver and Transmitter to GPS or GNSS signals at the start of the mission and optionally at intervals during the mission. Satellite acquisition occurs typically within 30 seconds of power-up. In the canonical case of a ROVL receiver sited near the ROV operator and a ROVL transmitter on the ROV, the satellite acquisition will typically occur in the background, and at the time the ROV is being readied for launch and while the ROVL Receiver IMU calibration is being done.
